Blue Print for Preaching Program

My Preaching Program Blue print. Well this is already made by Srila Prabhupada, i will be using the same and try to bring more innovation to the same.

He elaborated, in a 1973 letter to Prabhavishnu Swami, “Go and do these six things: Distribute books, chant in public, give out prasadam, give out flyers, answer people’s questions, and hold a program in someone’s home.” It was the blueprint for the future of congregational preaching in England.

Food for Soul

Nice points to give a thought. I was reading the post from Sita Pati Prabhu' blog so here they are

The days of our lives are slipping through our fingers like the sands of time. We cannot grasp or hold on to them. Don't try to save your life, because you can't. Instead, spend it wisely. You can't keep it, so give it up to a higher cause, rather than have it lost day by day in attrition with no gain.

If there is no God, and the goal of life is to simply enjoy it, understand that you can have a lot more fun by participating in a worthy mission with lofty goals and high ideals. My personal analysis is that there is no philosophically higher goal than Krishna consciousness, and no more fun lifestyle or bunch of people.

The culture of Knowledge and Nescience

The Culture of Knowledge and nescience

(1) One should become a perfect gentleman and learn to give proper respect to others.

(2) One should not pose himself as a religionist simply for name and fame.

(3) One should not become a source of anxiety to others by the actions of his body, by the thoughts of his mind, or by his words.

(4) One should learn forbearance even in the face of provocation from others.

(5) One should learn to avoid duplicity in his dealings with others.

(6) One should search out a bona fide spiritual master who can lead him gradually to the stage of spiritual realization, and one must submit himself to such a spiritual master, render him service and ask relevant questions.

(7) In order to approach the platform of self-realization, one must follow the regulative principles enjoined in the revealed scriptures.

(8) One must be fixed in the tenets of the revealed scriptures.

(9) One should completely refrain from practices which are detrimental to the interest of self-realization.

(10) One should not accept more than he requires for the maintenance of the body.

(11) One should not falsely identify himself with the gross material body, nor should one consider those who are related to his body to be his own.

(12) One should always remember that as long as he has a material body he must face the miseries of repeated birth, old age, disease and death. There is no use in making plans to get rid of these miseries of the material body. The best course is to find out the means by which one may regain his spiritual identity.

(13) One should not be attached to more than the necessities of life required for spiritual advancement.

(14) One should not be more attached to wife, children and home than the revealed scriptures

ordain.

(15) One should not be happy or distressed over desirables and undesirables, knowing that such feelings are just created by the mind.

(16) One should become an unalloyed devotee of the Personality of Godhead, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, and serve Him with rapt attention.

(17) One should develop a liking for residence in a secluded place with a calm and quiet atmosphere favorable for spiritual culture, and one should avoid congested places where nondevotees congregate.

(18) One should become a scientist or philosopher and conduct research into spiritual knowledge, recognizing that spiritual knowledge is permanent whereas material knowledge ends with the death of the body.

These eighteen items combine to form a gradual process by which real knowledge can be developed. Except for these, all other methods are considered to be in the category of nescience

From Sri Isoupanish Verse 10 (Purport)

Prayer unto You my Sweet Lord

May this always be my prayer to You my dear Lord Krsna.

"O my Lord Kṛṣṇa, I beg to offer my prayers unto You. My mind is like the bee, and it is after some honey. Kindly, therefore, give my bee-mind a place at Your lotus feet, which are the resources for all transcendental honey. I know that even big demigods like Brahmā do not see the rays of the nails of Your lotus feet, even though they are engaged in deep meditation for years together. Still, O infallible one, my ambition is such, for You are very merciful to your surrendered devotees. O Mādhava, I know also that I have no genuine devotion for the service of Your lotus feet, but because Your Lordship is inconceivably powerful, You can do what is impossible to be done. Your lotus feet can deride even the nectar of the heavenly kingdom, and therefore I am very much attracted by them. O supreme eternal, please, therefore, let my mind be fixed at Your lotus feet so that eternally I may be able to relish the taste of Your transcendental service."

You are getting oppertunity to serve so many.pls utilize this oppertunity as nicely as possible. While serving these great devotees if you maintain proper consciousness andproper service attitude you will make tremendous advancement in spirituallife. It is such nice oppertunity that what takes poeple years to accomplishthat can be readily achieved. Why We(I) are not changing ?

These are not mere lines that strikes. These are the facts which make me think over and over again that why i am not able to surrender to Guru and Krsna.

"It is because we are unable to give up our hypocrisy and sense of foolish individualism and independence that saintly persons fail to lead us to real wisdom"

Please Dear Sri Sri Gaura Nitai guide me and make me your eternal servant.

Mediation Point # 1

sadhu-sastra-guru-bakya
cittete kariya aikya satata bhasiba prema-majhe
"Making the words of the guru, sadhus and sastras one with my heart, I constantly float and swim in the ocean of pure love."
- Narottama das Thakura, Prema Bhakti Candrika

At the same time we see that he (Srila Prabhupada) arrived alone in America, sat down under a tree, and created an International Society. It's something that can't be imitated. Srila Prabhupada himself explained the secret: "Make the instructions of the spiritual master one with your heart and don't desire anything else."
(guru-mukha-padma-vakya / cittete koriya aikya / ar na koriho mane asa)
So taking guidance "do your thing" in good conscience and move forward in becoming selfless and living more and more for the sake of the Krishna Consciousness of others.
I have put it here on my blog for my own purification and understanding what it means "Guru Mukha Padma Vakya Cittete Koriya Aikya"

Mediation Points: Seven Purpose of ISKCON

On July 11, 1966, Srila Prabhupada incorporated a new religious movement called ISKCON, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.

The seven Purposes of ISKCON:

a) To systematically propagate spiritual knowledge to society at large and to educate all peoples in the techniques of spiritual life in order to check the imbalance of values in life and to achieve real unity and peace in the world.

b) To propagate a consciousness of Krishna, as it is revealed in the Bhagavad Gita and the Srimad Bhagavatam.

c) To bring the members of the Society together with each other and nearer to Krishna, the prime entity, thus to develop the idea within the members, and humanity at large, that each soul is part and parcel of the quality of Godhead (Krishna).

d) To teach and encourage the sankirtana movement, congregational chanting of the holy names of God as revealed in the teachings of Lord Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

e) To erect for the members and for society at large, a holy place of transcendental pastimes, dedicated to the personality of Krishna.

f) To bring the members closer together for the purpose of teaching a simpler and more natural way of life.

g) With a view towards achieving the aforementioned Purposes, to publish and distribute periodicals, magazines, books and other writings.

Mediation Points

How to check if one is progressing in Spiritual Life or not.

By Introspecting these three questions.

1. How much envious do we have towards devotees of the Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Krsna.
2. How much attachment we have developed for chanting the holy names.
3. How much deattachment do we have towards sense gratification.

The Importance of Following the Authority

This is from Bhagavad Gita As it is. Chapter 3 Karma Yoga Verse 9.0

One has to work in Krsna consciousness to satisfy Krsna (or Vishnu); and while performing such activities one is in a liberated stage. This is the great art of doing work, and in the beginning this process requires very expert guidance. One should therefore act very diligently, under the expert guidance of a devotee of Lord Krsna, or under the direct instruction of Lord Krsna Himself (under whom Arjuna had the opportunity to work). Nothing should be performed for sense gratification, but everything should be done for the satisfaction of Krsna. This practice will not only save one from the reaction of work, but also gradually elevate one to transcendental loving service of the Lord, which alone can raise one to the kingdom of God.
